Questions We Hear a Lot
FAR infrared saunas use carbon heating panels to emit infrared wavelengths that warm the body directly rather than heating the surrounding air the way a traditional steam sauna does. This means the cabin stays at a more comfortable ambient temperature while still delivering a deeply warming experience. It also makes them easier to install and run in a standard home setting without the need for plumbing or commercial-grade ventilation.
Most home infrared saunas are designed to fit within a standard spare room, basement corner, or garage space. A two-person model typically requires a footprint of roughly 4 by 4 feet, while a corner or three-to-four-person model needs a bit more clearance on each side. We recommend measuring your intended space and reviewing each product's listed dimensions before ordering to make sure the assembled unit fits comfortably with room to open the door.
Many home infrared saunas are designed to plug into a standard 120V household outlet, while larger or higher-wattage models may require a dedicated 240V circuit. Each product listing specifies the electrical requirements, and we recommend reviewing those details and consulting a licensed electrician if you are unsure about your home's existing setup. Electrical requirements are something the customer handles on their end prior to use.

About Our Infrared Saunas
An infrared sauna is a wood-enclosed personal wellness space that uses low-EMF carbon or ceramic heating panels to generate radiant warmth, creating an environment designed to support deep relaxation and intentional rest as part of a consistent home ritual. Unlike traditional steam saunas, infrared models heat the body directly rather than superheating the air around you, making them approachable for everyday use in a standard home setting. They are built for homeowners who want a dedicated space to decompress, reset, and slow down without leaving the house. When choosing an infrared sauna, consider the number of occupants, the available footprint in your home, wood quality, heater placement and coverage, and features like Bluetooth audio, chromotherapy lighting, and digital controls that shape the overall experience. Cabinet construction, EMF rating, and heating panel type are worth comparing carefully, as they influence both comfort and long-term satisfaction. The right sauna is one that fits naturally into your home, your routine, and the retreat you are building.
